Hi all,

I hope you’re doing well. We’ve had magical cherry tree blossoms blowing in the wind AND the bluebells have appeared so it’s been pretty special here in Yorkshire.

What have your magical moments been this week?

Magical moments of the week

Details I’m most thankful for this week:

  • the blackberry smoothie I made (a bunch of frozen berries, 1 banana, greek yogurt, water) on Wednesday.

  • having friends over for a meal Saturday night, we had aperitif on the patio and Mike made us mojitos.

  • the cherry blossoms have truly arrived and it’s glorious. We went as a family to see them on Sunday and I went back on Wednesday solo when the wind was blowing them like confetti.

  • making the April club video about my recent trip to London and my progress in still life artwork, made me appreciate every second of it all over again! And seeing just how experience can impact what colours we use.

  • seeing everyone’s work in the still life challenge, so great!!

  • knowing that it’s Easter and the hope it brings.

  • drawing our first apple blossoms (we’ve trained it espalier up the fence, it’s been a few years of waiting).

  • getting out to paint the bluebells, though I think they’ll be even nicer next week, I just want to make the most of that woodland display.

How was your week? What colours did you notice most? If you have cherry tree blossoms or bluebells near you, I hope you can get out to enjoy them.
