sometimes i question myself while sharing tit bits on the internet and myself if its worth it, this post was a sign for me to make me realize eveything matters. loved this tiny session, thankyou for letting us look into your process of art making
I am blessed enough to have cherry trees and bluebells in the yard for the house we moved into two years ago. Sometimes life is not perfect. Sometimes it throws you little somethings that are. 🌸
The bluebells were such a surprise. Life has been a lot lately, but the combination out the window picks me back up each day. We've found weird trash buried all over the yard, but someone at some point buried bluebell bulbs too.
Those are nice reflections on the mister and the teapot.
Blooms are erupting everywhere here, too. Our weeping cherry (magenta to pink to white), daffodils (yellow), grape hyacinths (purple), and tulips (orange) are blooming in the front of our house.
Amen to the hope of Easter. Today is Holy Saturday; Hell has been harrowed. In the Orthodox services, the priest will be throwing laurel leaves, bay leaves, and flower petals to signify the breaking of the chains of death.
"When You did descend to death, O Life Immortal,
You did slay hell with the splendor of Your Godhead,
And when from the depths You did raise the dead,
All the Powers of Heaven cried out,
O Giver of Life, Christ our God, glory to You!"
The colors of my week included buff sands and heaving pthalo turquoise waves along Silver Beach in St. Joseph, Michigan. Also, the pale rose of Traverse City cherry fudge ice cream. :-)
I love this time of year, which you have captured so beautifully. For me it has been the swathes of gorse and blackthorn on the coastal path that has most captured my imagination.
Lovely reflections. I love your interior still life work. I’ve been noticing the colour of extremely dry grass, as I live in an arid zone in Australia where it rarely rains. I think one would call it a version of straw colour. Also wondering how you would make /mix that colour?

Hello! I’ve just found you recently. Thank you for this generous and inspiring post!!
What kind of paint are you using in these paintings?
I’m using Neocolor II pastels and then the paint is gouache tempera (Seawhite of Brighton) 👍🏻🧡
Thank you! How is tempera gouache different from the tempera we grew up with in the classroom?
I’d like to know this too! Are they pastels?

I love how your magical moments may seem ‘small’ but in reality they just bright up your day
