January was a bit of a write-off for me healthwise, but the January Plein Air challenge really got me kickstarted in my new Nature Journal, even when I could only go as far as the back step. Thank you for the nudge! Love your snowdrops. On a recent walk, we even saw a few crocuses and daffodils out. The world is slowly waking up :0)

Sorry to hear you’ve not been well. Crocuses and daffodils should be coming out here in a couple weeks. So lovely!!! Glad you’ve kickstarted a nature journal, that’s brilliant! Hope you can keep going.

Yes, we were surprised by them! Just a few out on a quiet sunny bank. I've kept a nature journal for a few years, but before Christmas I invested in a different sketchbook for this year, so the plein air challenge was just what I needed to get me going! It was an interesting experience all round really. I usually avoid 'challenges', but this felt really accessible :0)

I was inspired by your snowdrops and remembered a few of them popped up last year in my neighborhood so I went on the hunt for them this morning and found them! I'm so excited to draw them too 🤍

Love the snowdrop immersion. I agree that there’s something so beautiful about the winter. I sleep later, read more, make stews, what’s not to love, and those mornings when there’s a hard frost are so amazing.

Yes that crunch under foot!! So blissful!!

I’d like to make more soups and also cinnamon buns.

Oh yes the crunch! And being able to wear woollens! We’re building up a strong list.

I make soup most days from autumn through spring, it’s my culinary happy place. A cinnamon bun though, that sounds waaaay above my pay grade 😂
