I love seeing your journal every week Helen and your list of highlights always reminds me to find joy in the small things. Coastline paintings are looking great!

I've never tried visual journals but love the idea. I've dabbled with sketching in the past years or so but it's a bit hit and miss, I might have a go at a still life though and go from there. I also love the idea of writing a highlights list. I've started sharing carousels of photos on IG with a rundown of things I've done fairly regularly. I'd love to play around with the format though.

I love the idea of a visual journal! I usually love writing, but I've had so much to do lately it's stressful! I might try this! (Not great at drawing tho! 😅) I've been trying to work with watercolour paints, too. (Not great with that, either!) But just need to practice! (I struggle with layering the colours.) I love your posts, thank you for the inspiration! 💜

Starting with small simple still life pictures is actually a great way to start your art journey! Take a peice of fruit or veg you have and set it up with a plate or napkin and sketch it! You can start with basic shapes and work your way through to adding color and shading, texture and more details. ♥️ some of the world’s most famous and beautiful paintings are quite simple but capture the beauty of the subject perfectly. ♥️

I love seeing what you’ve experienced all week! I’ve dabbled with visual journaling but it’s never consistent.
