What a visual and delicious treat! I've never been strawberry picking at a farm but always wanted to. I've got a small plant in the garden so that's as close as it gets for now!

Thanks Sabrina! We also have some strawberries in our small garden but now that I’ve tried this, there’s no turning back!! This was such a delight! And I’d love to make it into a family tradition.

Oh that's even better to turn it into a family tradition. Such lovely memories to build over time. Right I'm going to look for strawberry farms near me!

I love this idea Helen. I'm an absolute beginner with sketching and think it would be a great way to get started..Are you using pastels?

Hi Viv, I use all sorts of materials. At the minute, yes neocolor II pastels are my favourites as they can also be used as watercolour so are great for packing light on summer sketching trips (though keep them in the shade as they get a melty in the sun).

Such beautiful pictures and the smell of honeysuckle (or woodbine) is so evocative.

As a kid I used to pick them and get the sugar out of them. Did you?

It’s bitter sweet when our children move on to the next phase. I have fond memories of mine when they were little, it’s all over too quickly. Love your art journals!💖

Life definitely goes fast when we’re having fun. It’s encouraging to know others understand the grief and joy all combined in one.
