These are soooooo beautiful Helen! So glad to have found you here! I have been feeling super stressed about Christmas but watching this has put me back in a festive more relaxed mood - thank you! I loved the hedgehogs and the hare, and the squirrel - I loved them all really! Also massive fan of the good ship ill colour workshop! Merry Christmas x
I like to use cereal boxes and old Christmas cards for tags and other things (like cards and handmade books). A suggestion for dealing with the cereal box design is to carefully peel the top layer of paper off. It leaves it a little rough, but it’s better than leaving the packaging image or having to use lots of paint!
Oh wow I had never even considered that as an option! I didn’t know that was possible. I look forward to trying that! Presumably the cardboard is still robust enough. Thanks for this!
You’re welcome! I’ve never actually used this technique when making tags or cards myself, but it should work if the cardboard is sturdy enough. I just tested it on some cardboard from a box of cheese crackers, and it worked okay. It’s easier when working with smallish pieces of the cardboard.
These are so cute 😊 And your writing is beautiful 😍 I enjoyed watch the process, it is as inspiring as yesterday's session. I can imagine the joy of people who will receive gifts from you :-)
Helen you creativity and passion for it shows through. It was a joy, not cringe at all, to see you at work and it is so fun and I had so much joy just watching. I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us this year. Also please let us know if you would be doing something like this over zoom again too. see you soon 🤓🥰
This is so so super cute and helpful Helen. Thanks for sharing
So glad it’s helpful. Hope you get to make some.

I’ll try it and let you know. I don’t think our cereal boxes are as sturdy as boxes of cheese crackers but I may be wrong, you’ve got me thinking.
Depends on the brand. 😂
Yes probably
I would faint if I received one of these! Such a delight, Helen!
That’s made my day!! 😂 though I wouldn’t want you to faint!! Happy Christmas Kaly!!
