How do you feel about solo dates? Are they important to you? How do you navigate making them a priority? Today in this video I’m taking you along on some of the little local trips that have inspired me and revived my creativity, while enjoying autumn at its best.
It’s made me wonder again about artist dates and whether we truly need them or is it just fluff?? Do you carve out time to get out or bake a cake or just sit regularly? If you’re anything like me, dedicating regular time to do this is quite hard but I’m keen to explore why I find it so hard. I think truly believing in the benefits helps to be more disciplined about protecting that time. Would you agree?
In this video, I’m sharing snippets of what I’ve loved seeing this week: corners of my garden, two of my recent paintings inspired by my recent trip to Italy, a solo trip to an antique centre 45mins drive away (if you were on the Drawing Dahlias call, you might have seen of what I brought back home at the end of the call), some Virginia Creepers and listening to the birdsong, and finally a morning in Sheffield. Mike joined me for lunch but the rest of the morning I was alone and loved exploring those cute streets of Sheffield.
