While caring for my eldest this week (he’s ok now), I set up an impromptu still life on our living room coffee table. I enjoyed trying different methods of sketching, using a variety of materials (mainly watercolour and neocolor II pastels), in my new Pith sketchbook. I’m learning a lot in the process and would love to keep doing it more with charcoal and a mix of pastels and gouache.
It was also my birthday week so I took notes of the blessings and gifts I received, including the packaging (bonus points for Mike who made an effort to wrap the gifts in beautiful Heather Evelyn gift wrap tied with pink ribbons, as well brown paper tied up with string).
Have a lovely weekend. x
Thanks for the glimpse inside your notebook, these are beautiful and inspiring. I am working towards the same with my kids and am starting a notebook they can draw in along with me.
Well happy birthday!
