This is very much a quick record of the week, as simple as they come with on the left a main illustration and on the right a few scribbles of what happened each day. This is probably my go-to layout, the type I’ll create when life is busy or when my mind is occupied with other thoughts. This week, the big highlights (and thoughts) were:
Taking a trip into Doncaster (our closest town) for a very thought-provoking radio show on female entrepreneurs and the importance of role models to empower future generations. The houses on the left page were on Regent Square where I parked our car.
Our back garden garage has a new roof so we had to take everything out. Up until now it was very much my husband’s cave but I am thrilled to say that I have talked my way into getting a corner of it as a potting shed! I will soon be sharing this exciting and ongoing transformation. My Pinterest board is a dream!! And I have had to monitor how much time I’m spending on FB Marketplace for shelves and pots and all the vintage goodness. More on this soon.
I've been researching how to make my own pigment for natural watercolours from home-grown plants and will also be sharing my journey with this. Wouldn’t this be a perfect little project for my potting shed?! I thought so too. If you know of any good courses online or in-person for the South Yorkshire area, I’d love to hear from you!
This is Doncaster, Regent Square. Pretty, isn’t it?
Hope you’ve had a great week. Talk soon x
I absolutely love your art! Inspiring.
I always get inspired by your weekly layouts!
