Following the club’s plein air challenge in January and the still life challenge in April, here is the LETTERING challenge.
Lettering is a fantastic skill to develop and a little bit goes a long way with styling your labels, writing envelops, black boards, making artwork, visual journals, the list goes on. Even Van Gogh did a little lettering when painting books and their titles, bringing extra meaning to the painting (watch the co-drawing replay here).
The Lettering Challenge
Gather your inspiration: Create a paper bundle in a larger envelop or a folder or a photo album on your phone (album or Pinterest) with great lettering inspiration, you’ll begin to see inspiration everywhere you go, from the grocery shop to your local signage.
Each day, create your own art, based on interpretations from the lettering inspiration
